On and on and on and on... Danny MacAskill just doesn't stop talking about ebikes. He's infatuated with them. It makes for an effi­cient posi­tion that can go the long haul. The slack 64.9 head­tube angle and 44mm reduced-off set fork doesn't wan­der while climb­ing, and doesn't hold you back descend­ing. It works - all day up, all day down, all day in between. REVISED SWINGARM The Rip­mo V2S fea­tures a new UDH dérailleur for max­i­mum future com­pat­i­bil­i­ty and moves to a 55mm chain line. The wider chain line allows for a stiffer chainstay. TRACTION TUNE Our cus­tom tuned front and rear sus­pen­sion fea­ture extra light high-speed com­pres­sion and rebound damp­ing to deliv­er unpar­al­leled trac­tion. This allows the wheels to flut­ter through ter­rain like a tro­phy truck storm­ing through a set of whoops. COIL COMPATIBLE The Rip­mo V2S is com­pat­i­ble with both coil and air shocks due to a more pro­gres­sive lever­age rate. On the trail, it gives the sus­pen­sion a sup­ple feel through­out the entire­ty of the stroke, enhanc­ing trac­tion no mat­ter how deep you dig. DROPPER POST CLEARANCE Mo' drop­per, mo' bet­ter. On small frames, you can run 125 - 150mm, pend­ing your pref­er­ence and inseam length. Our short­er seat-tube lengths and low stan­dovers allow you to choose your size based on your reach preference. TIRE CLEARANCE You can run over­built, chunky tires; you can run light, big vol­ume fast tires, but what­ev­er you run, know that you're not lim­it­ed by width. It's a progression curve that delivers quality full travel capability, for mountain biking. Other bikes might have more progressive curves. The question is, what for? PATENTED COMPACT WISHBONE. Our patented, two-piece wishbone shock extender optimizes leverage rate while pushing the shock forward in the frame. This forward positioning allows for a large range of shock compatibility, decreases stand-over height, reduces shock tab sizes, increases water bottle compatibility, and increases downtube clearance. When it's time for service, shock removal is quick and easy. SPEED METAL. Our new pivot designs use 100% standard-sized cartridge bearings secured with precision-machined floating collet axles. Rather than conjuring up a claim to rationalize the vanilla geometry that dominates other "mid-travel" bikes, we asked how the remarkable feel of the SB130 can become even more capable of tackling a wider range of terrain? The result is a size-specific geometry that puts SB140 riders in a more balanced position for extra spicy trails in every direction. 1. FORWARD BIAS POSTURE Give racers the room needed to center them on the bike. 2. FRAME REACH FOR RIPPING Frame reach remains sensibly roomy when running modern short stem lengths, but not ridiculously long to justify a "longer, slacker, lower" claim. 3. SIZE SPECIFIC CHAIN STAYS Chain stay length increases with frame size, ensuring the rear center of the bike is proportionately correct for riders of all sizes (XS-XXL). 4. SIZE SPECIFIC SEAT TUBE ANGLES Riders of all sizes stay in a powerful pedal position with seat tube angles that increase with frame size. This makes the transition from seated to standing easier, especially for taller riders. 5. SLIGHTLY HIGHER STACK A slightly more upright position is more comfortable on big ascents and more capable on big descents. Saving weight means little without retaining an appropriate level of stiffness and responsiveness too. So we’ve taken all the acceleration and out-of-the-saddle sprint qualities of a carbon XC race rocket and fused them with a rear-end that still rails corners like a hardcore trail bike. This unique XC-trail attitude is also reflected in the geometry. The head tube angle (67.1 degree) and reach (425mm) is a little steeper and shorter than a Joplin to meet the demands of aggressive climbing, yet the Wilder’s seat tube angle is a touch slacker and the chainstays a little longer than a Joplin too in order to retain that familiar Juliana confidence on descents. And talking of chainstays, each chainstay length is specific to the individual frame size; meaning riders of every height enjoy the same handling and performance no matter what.
