This model combines the new Shimano 105 Mechanical 12-speed groupset with fast-rolling Turbo Pro 700x26mm tires, delivering performance at a more accessible price point. The design philosophy prioritizes keeping the bike at or below the UCI weight limit out of the box without sacrificing aerodynamics or ride quality. The frame utilizes a Fact 9r carbon construction weighing just 1010 grams, achieved through the FreeFoil Shape Library, isotopic FEA analysis, and advanced engineering. The Rider-First Engineered™ philosophy ensures the Tarmac is the most balanced and best-handling version yet, with balanced ride quality between front and rear ends for comfort on long rides while maintaining legendary handling and race-winning snappiness. Simple integration creates a clean, fast cockpit that's easy to live with and work on. After a decade of working in the Win Tunnel, our engineers put aero where it matters, not just where it looks good. The result? A new Nose Cone called the ‘Speed Sniffer’ helps the new Tarmac SL8 be 16.6 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL7. And yes, more aero than the Venge.

We saw how the lightest production road bike in the world - the Aethos - could marry blistering response in the mountains with a supple, all-day ride. The Tarmac SL8 took those learnings from Aethos to be easily built at the UCI minimum with a full aero set up.
